Following the recent burst of Proud Mary related news that has appeared on the forum we thought we'd take the chance to give you an official update of just what is going on.

Firstly Greg Griffin is to play a solo acoustic gig at the Camden Monarch this Saturday (August 16th).  This gig has been arranged by a well-known and well respected London promoter, and will hopefully lead to bigger and better things for Greg and Proud Mary.  Therefore Greg would appreciate the support of as many of you as possible at show.  The Camden Monarch can be found at 40-42 Chalk Road, Camden, London, with more information available by calling 0207 482 2054.

Secondly Proud Mary will be appearing at this year's Wizard Festival at the New Deer Showground, Aberdeenshire on Saturday 23rd August.  Proud Mary will be playing without Paul Newsome and are second on the bill on the main stage behind headliners Alabama 3.  Other acts appearing over the two day festival include Supergrass, Mark Morris, The Damned and Dreadzone.  For more information on the Wizard Festival please visit http://www.wizardfestival.com/.

Finally, Greg is to fly out to LA on 10th September to start work on a new Proud Mary album with Paul Newsome.  We hope to bring you updates during the recording process of the album so keep checking back for all the latest news.
